toddler learning playtime baby
Don’t skimp out on giving your 1 year old solo play time! Not only will it encourage independence, self confidence, creativity and language skills, but it will give you about 15 minutes of respite as well.
You can easily involve them into an activity they enjoy and once they are fully engaged, move back a bit (slowly) and make yourself busy with something. If she tries to involve you in playing, toss her back whatever she handed you and continue with your activity.

KrissyKayKat84 My 14months old girl won't play on her own even for 10 minutes. I am with her constantly so maybe she has never learnt to be independent
although I try my best to encourage it.
Nora Holland My son will play for 15 minutes max on his own so its pretty normal :)
